3DS Max 2019 - Edit Poly - Select edge Loop function not working

I am finally trying to upgrade to 2019 from 2016 due to some very great potential improvements to my modeling work flow. Even though there are a lot of improvements, some things seem to be very broken.

In 3DS Max 2019 - Within Edit Poly modifier - After selecting a single edge, and clicking the 'Loop' button, nothing happens

Ring is working properly

I can't reproduce it.

I suppose you are testing it in a regular geometry, for example generated by primitives (quad sphere etc)

Hi @peter.sherrill,

I'm not able to reproduce it also.

I would suggest to reset 3ds Max user preference settings back to default and to install the latest update (3ds Max 2019 Update 1.1).

Thank you for the replies. It is very strange.

Yes, I am trying to loop the edge selection within an Edit Poly modifier on top of a box primitive. The loop button has no effect. As I mentioned, the ring button works as expected.

I removed the ENU folder and tried again with the default settings. Still the same result.

Hi,

Can you create a small video screencast on how you're trying to do it?

Or maybe some clear screenshots

You can also upload the Max file so we can test it.

I personally use 3DS Max 2018, so you can do a save as 2018 in case you like to post the file.

It's also a good idea to post the 2019 version, maybe it's a version issue

Well good, it was finally solved!

But can you post what was the problem, this way the "Solved" check mark will be

More helpful for others in case they tried to check the post for solution.
