Often when working in a large team that utilizes many different tools you will find that you need your data from 3DS Max to be Y-up world aligned (instead of the default Z-up) to retain consistency with other software or the way your programmers need/want the data formatted.
Unfortunately FBXs "Export as Y-up" option fails to do this (it only adds a dummy with a rotational offset that everything you are exporting is linked to) and as such Max users are forced to manually adjust their pivots to accommodate this request (which works great on meshes, not so great on things like bones). As such it would be great if there were some tools or even a creation option when starting a new scene to have Max align the pivots objects to accommodate a Y-up world requirement.
