Xgen (and some decent development) for max

Xgen (and some decent development) for max

How are we still using shave and haircut in max in 2020? kind of beyond belief at this point! Look at the advancements in Xgen and as pointed out by other members in the forums, blenders hair system. Trying to create anything decent with native max hair and fur system is time consuming and just a nightmare.. Max seems to be lagging behind the competition at this point and autodesk would do well to remember that other software is free of charge and developing far quicker than max.

If give the choice between learning Maya to be able to use xgen and using Blender for free with consistent updates and innovation then it's a no brainer.

Don't get me wrong, I am a long term max user and not a blender fan boy, but at this stage it's hard to overlook other competing software offering a better package for 100% less fees.

They can't fix simple bugs of H&F about two years. So "XGen" like feature we will be wait about of 10-15 years...or so.

Couldn't agree more I have specialized in hair and fur for max using hair farm plugin and it can give great results but max is lagging behind in a lot of areas and I do feel let down by it in many ways hair fur just one of a long list!

a tool like xgen would be a great addition along with a decent dynamic muscle system! max needs to catch up its been trailing fo far to long Blender is overtaking it for sure.....I don't want to switch but may have to.

would love to see improvements to the hair system in max. It's been a long time coming.
