Volume Select modifier - improve speed

Vol. Select definitely works slow, especially when using Mesh Object selection.  Please make it faster!

p.s. I know there is https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-ideas/multithreading-of-core-modifiers/idi-p/6788417 thread.. but I'm not sure that multi-thread only solution.

I will like an overall improvement on Mesh select, including multiple mesh selection. Or being able to select a Layer instead of a mesh, so we have dynamic selection.
