Vertex chamfer that behaves the same way as edge chamfer

That is with the option of more segments and variable tension, like in other software packages:

do you happen to know If Maya have them. It has a  special tool " Chamfer  Vertex" but the division option is blued out (non editable)

Anyway, here's a picture from Cinema4D showing how it can be useful on planar topology as well (by the way, the tension (similar to depth here) can be currently only positive in max, which is also something that could use an update):
