Motion Graphics toolset like MASH for Maya

The MASH procedural toolset, first introduced in Maya 2016 extension 2, has been improved with new nodes and new capabilities that allow designers to quickly create unique animations and motion effects. Now Maya 2017 includes a full set of 3D tools for creating motion graphics. This is just another both cool and usefull feature that again shows Autodesk is throwing anything at use on Maya now.

This is a MUST !... Preferably including subobject level animation, if it's possible.

Well, 3dsmax is modular and parametric in nature. Of course, having everything under one UI makes people excited, but 3dsmax is already parametric and modular enough that many of MASH tools/ workflow can be easily achieved by MCG, Data Channel, Animation Presets, etc. 

Everything is in Max already, it is just a matter or re packaging with UI. I can honestly say, you can build MASH with MCG very easily. IMHO, it needs to have more in order to make sense to have it in 3dsmax.

I feel like my proposal of making MCG more like Grasshopper for Rhino (stateless interactivity) has more potential and universal approach than MASH for 3dsmax.

Already we have it but we have to make it with pf , its better to say improve pf and add some operator like Maya Mash

3D Max need more update in motion graphics, Autodesk  should to add MASH Tool to 3D Max.

I think when tyFlow comes out to replace Pflow, tyFlow will give you all that is needed for create motion graphics. But yes, such system is much needed.

MASH is more easly than pflow or tyflow .. try to use it in maya and you
will see!

As long as it is implemented in a node-based fashion I´m all for it! Without it you don't get the overview you need for these type of setups.

already 3 years since under review. In the meantime I spend more and more time in Maya even I dont like it.

Mash is nice but Mograph (C4D) is easier.

Hello there, 

 

I just posted the exact same idea "Motion Design Tools for 3Ds Mas" and then landed here. While I agree with Ali Tan Ucer above (about MCG, Data Channel, Animation Presets), I believe that an accesible UI would make our lives easier and Max more open to newcomers. Heck, MoDesign tools would even give Max more instagram presence to say the least! 

 

At the end of the day if these tools are already part of Max it should be easy for Autodesk to create a friendly UI.
