Update Object Paint

Could we see object paint updated?

take a look at PhysX Painter or Maya Xgen,

or how in Houdini you can paint the normal direction,

which is very useful for flow maps.

This is a powerful tool that needs some update.

could this be included in an updated Scatter in the form of modifier with Brush as a method of scattering? I think MASH in Maya has a similar workflow and recently the revived Lightwave 3d Scatter brush
