Unwrap UVW: keep vertex and edge selection

Face selection in Unwrap UVW is kept when a modifier is added, so you can add Edit Poly modifier in 'Use Stack Selection' mode and anything you select in unwrap will get selected in the modifier allowing you to manipulate the geo as well. The same is not true about neither vertex selection nor edge selection both of which get cleared.

This is definitely a strange behaviour. If you do it in this way you can't see other polygons in unwrap UVW until you deselect selection in editable poly modifier. It should automatically deselect selection in editable poly modifier and automatically selected in the uvw modifier for all modes.

@Anonymous: You're talking about something different, though, this is about Edit Poly above the Unwrap modifier with Use Stack Selection mode active.

Oh, I see what you mean now. Sorry, I did not read carefully enough. However, both refer to hierarchical selection and I hope they will fix both problems.

That it does not work for all sub-object modes the same and that it should work in better way. I wrote for example when you choose polygons before you add unwrap uvw modifier, Swordslayer wrote about working with Edit Poly above the Unwrap modifier. Try it yourself and you'll see.
