Split Command Panel into individual dockable panels

Split Command Panel into individual dockable panels

Having the ability to see modify panel at the same time as motion or hierarchy is a must now in 3ds Max.

Command Panel should be splitted into individual panels,

we should be able to dock, tab, float and duplicate those panels.

I absolutely concur!!

Regarding the Parameter Panel:

1) It should be a independet (dockable or floatable) panel of it's own, too!

Now, in the Create Panel, the object's parameters are shown. After creation, if you switch to Modify and back to Create, the Parameter Panel of the new but still selected object has disappeared. Somewhat peculiar...

2) It should be possible to have more than one Parameter Panel open at the same time!

Considering the idea Multiple objects modifications, you might notice that this makes sense.

Thanks!

one my another dream on new Qt UI is to have all TABS on cmd panel as float like scene explorer, with opportunity to dock on ui, fuse with another and to easy contruct a perfect personal envirorment.

The command panel feels a little outdated with the static taps. The true point is that it slows down the workflow without scripts.

Typical example: You have set up a hierarchy and you want to move an object without its children. You have to go to Hierarchy panel every time. After a while this can be really annoying.

In my opinion, this change would improve 3DS Max much more than a useless new feature.

Hi!
You changed this topic to "Future Consideration" twice (first ads_michelk then brentscannell)...

You didn't want to change it to "accepted" by any chance? =D

This 5 hard-wired tabs of the Command Panel are a relic from times of low screen resolutions on CRT monitors. There's no good reason at all any more to keep it that way.
