spline symmetrical extrude / path extrude (on extrude modifier)

 

Really I need a fluid workflow like Fusion 360.

It's incredible the "direction" option and one my dream is to have this in max for spline!

 

Symmetric is rock!

And please to have extrude path option to!

Im going to hit you up for more details, what specificly do you like about these features? is it the UI and the in viewport controls or the results?

 

Have others here played with thes tools? What are your thoughts?

Have symmetrical extrude is perfect for start at middle of design or from a specific point of object. In fusion 360 is possible to use extrude as interactive Boolean object during creation. Extrude symmetrical is not the same of symmetry modifier. It's only extrude from two direction in same operation. I have think (for max and fusion) a sort of option like button (get path) for istantly extrude along path .... and this with opportunity of symmetrical option.
in my case an example are mechanicals parts for my robots. EVERY time a need to move my exteuded objects becouse extrude begin from only from base or side.... but I need to begin from middle. I hope to be clear 🙂
