[Resolved] Better AutoGrid alignment on Geometry when using custom Grids

When an active custom Grid object which is rotated in another way than the world coordinate system (Home Grid) the AutoGrid aligns poorly to horizontal faces of geometry. It appears that AutoGrid currently considers the Home Grid rather than the active grid when tracing geometry. This leads to objects being created on horizontal surfaces will be aligned wrong.

In example below, AutoGrid is enabled with an active Grid object rotated 45°. Creating objects directly on the Grid object aligns the created object to the grid, but not when creating on flat geometry. Perhaps the matrix calculation when hitting geometry needs to consider active Grid objects rather than the world coordinate system.

I realized that this is already a setting you can set under Grid And Snap Settings > User Grid.

Normally Auto Grid is set to World Space, but change it to Object Space and Auto Grid will align to active grids on geometry objects. This suggestion/request can be closed since 3ds max actually provides this functionality already.
