Currently you have the default Grid and if you want to use a grid helper you activate that grid.
This is good so far.
The problem comes when you want to use keyboard shortcuts (Top, Left, etc) and zoom on object or even pan. Basically you can't currently.
You need to choose Grid(Top), Grid(left), etc.
Why not just remove the difference between an active grid and the default grid? So if you activate a grid helper it just behaves as with the default Grid.
This would help enormously to work at any angle.
