Problem: Currently you have to manually click each parameter rollout in the command panel if you want to expand it. Similarly you must manually click each one to minimize it. This is not only tiresome to do, but also makes the command panel UI very messy. (As you are left with open rollouts that you don't use, and closed rollouts that you can't find. So much clutter!)
Proposed 3DS Max Idea: Add a "collapse all parameter rollout" button (Or something similar to that effect.) This can be located under "Customize" in the main 3ds menu bar.
When you click this, it will minimize all parameter roll outs in the command panel.
In this way, you can then manually click and maximize only the rollouts you want, and close them subsequently to keep the command panel neat.
3DS Max seems to already save what rollout panels you have opened/closed, and this feature I think should be kept.
3D modelling/animation software is very much concerned with improving work-flows right? I think this idea gives the user added customizability and control. It would definitely make my life easier, and I think it's a worthwhile implementation for Max users too.
Ps. I'm quite new to 3DS max, so in case I've been talking about the wrong thing, by "parameter rollouts" I mean all the little UI windows found in the command panel with the little "down arrow" next to it. This includes everything incl. rollouts in Modify, Heirarchy, Display, Motion tabs etc etc. (Example shown in the PNG Attachment)
