ptex and vector dispace support for sculpt for Mudbox

ptex and vector dispace support for sculpt for Mudbox

Please,
One problem of interoperatibility and pipeline from mudbox to 3ds max is the complete absence of Ptex support.
Now we know that mudbox comeback to us with many features and with a new life...
So, I think that is necessary to have a support for this OPEN support .... PTEX is necessary with sculpt becouse we have opportunity to work without UV and with a for zoom quality level details.
I know that is a old request but is time to do!
Mudbox is a real killer tool for us!
(PS: maya have Ptex support... ****!)

Interesting, that in Arnold has no plan to support Ptex... https://answers.arnoldrenderer.com/questions/442/ptex-support.html

I would also like to see support for viewing Vector displacement in the viewport, even if this is just done with regular (not Ptex) UV's. Zbrush can export them (but not PTEX), and I would like to preview it in the viewport, like the regular displacement modifier, just with ptex.

Sidetracking here, but wasn't opensubdiv development heading towards previewing lots of displacements and subdivs in the viewport with gpu calculations and deformations in realtime? I remember seeing a video of it long time ago...

3ds Max Public Roadmap | Autodesk

It seems Autodesk is up on something  because on 3ds Max Updated Public roadmap at the Artist Experiences there is a new item called Brush tools. There is a brush tools panel that seems identical with Mudbox one. The details of this Future feature  are not very enlightening: Consolidate and improve brush tools inside 3ds Max. The brush tools in 3ds Max are inconsistent. Man pls better not be just a port of the Mudbox core like in Maya without all the power features of Mudbox !
