PLEASE continue to Develop Autodesk Ray Tracer!

PLEASE continue to Develop Autodesk Ray Tracer!

So far, I see all this hype about Arnold and no doubt, with its material and mapping options, you can do A LOT with it.

However, I find ART to be much more intuitive and friendly with providing a more clear view in active shade more quickly than Arnold for the same scene.

It seems easier to tweak exposure values to what you desire as well.

I will be posting later a scene rendered with Scanline, ART and Arnold with the approximate render times.

So please keep developing ART.  I don't know why I don't hear of more artists using it.

I hesitate to say the it's lacing the psychological effect of it being a "3rd party" and therefore "better."

Anyway, I would like to see more clear material editor representations and better noise reduction.  It does take quite a few passes to eliminate all the noise but the image is amazingly photorealistic.

Anyway, I know "keep developing" is a bit vague but the point is don't let this go by the wayside because the hype is so much on MR, VR, and now Arnold.

Oh, if you could improve the Art Render in the direction of fine art! I see very tempting pictures! And what about the animation with the Art Render?

yes, ART render was one best render in max but with a short life. I hope that Arnold make a GPU version also ART remain a good fast alternative.

ART should be properly integrated with all legacy 3dsmax materials and rendering. Please Consider it so it can be a replacement for scanline

As I said, I would be posting 3 renders.

My apologies on the Arnold render for the approximate time estimate rather than actual.

Also please note that I do not have a fast processor: AMD-A6.

Funny thing is that I actually like the Scanline.  I feel I was actually able to get closer to the photograph than the others.

Also, with ART try as I may, I wasn't able to get that Sunlight reflection on the donut thingy by the couch they way it is in the photo.

Other than that, getting the look I want from the materials was easier with ART.

I would still like to see ART and SCanline continue to grow.

For PBR, I prefer working with ART so far.  For the amount of time rendering, it's image is less noisy than ARnold.  Admittedly, there may be some tricks to ARnold I don't know yet, though.

SCANLINE 18HRS 17 MIN

ARNOLD APPROX 15 HRS (Couldn't figure out what caused the rectangle shadows on the wall.  Still more noise to be filtered)

ART 16HR 36 MIN (Couldn't emulate the bright sun spot on the donut-thingy like in the photo but still, I like this photo-realistic render quality.  I was able to easily get the right amount of reflection on surfaces like the floor where I couldn't do this with Arnold.)
