New Mesher Modifier To Support TyFlow

New Mesher Modifier To Support TyFlow

Currently the Mesher modifier in 3ds Max is very slow and not up to the task of meshing large particle simulations.

Many users turn to Frost, but why make users pay for yet another additional plugin!!!

Tyflow has re-ignited the 3ds Max community and is probably attracting new users. A new Mesher on par or surpassing Frost performance is vital to support this excitement.

a nice addition would be the ability to mesh open vdb files like C4D : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CQf8caAEOU

so a kind of merge between the current mesher ability, + an advanced blobmesh capable of reading vdb as well

I totally agree, a re-written Mesher should accept all sorts of data: Any object, Open VDB, Point Cloud, Alembic, all particle types...

I actually meant Blobmesh as opposed to mesher, and there isn't a mesher modifier in 3ds Max! Sorry for the confusion!

tyFlow has its own mesher called tyMesher? Although not as robust as Frost it's still pretty good.

Would be ideal to see this kind of thing native in 3DS Max though... its pretty basic fundamental 3D tool when working with particles.

With BiFrost coming out at some point.... unless the dev's are crazy they will implement a proper mesher.

With Frost always lagging for updating to new Max, I'd also like to see updates here. Preferably it should be as good as if not better than Frost.
