Multiple UDIM display on viewport

Multiple UDIM display on viewport

Title says all. Right now we dont have support to display multiple UDIM textures on viewport. Only Vray as far as I know has the option to choose what individual UDIM texture to show. Will be very practical that 3dsmax can display multiple UDIMS directly.

You know, some Ideas is kind of despise Autodesk 3Ds MAX Developers team's intelligence (or any body who is making decisions for future of poor MAX). An expensive program like 3Ds MAX must have "Multiple UDIM display on viewport". there most be no need to bold this kind of industry standards to Autodesk to check if it's gather sufficient Like or Vote.

Seeing this kind of Ideas here, make me feel sorry to 3Ds MAX users community...

This feature is now available in 3ds Max 2021.1 with the Bitmap Lookup OSL shader. Thanks for your idea!

Hello.  The Bitmap OSL shader does indeed show the UDIMs in the viewport, but during render the colour is incorrect for ACEScg.  Is there any other way to get this to work?  Perhaps adding a colour profile choice to the shader?  Or even just making UDIMs work with every flavour of Bitmap lookup, especially the ones that support ACES colour?

Once I ditched the OSL method and went back to my colour tested method, it just started working.  It seems the  "Realistic with Maps" viewport material option works with Vray.
