Materials

1)

Materials from plugins currently come in at random scales. Substance materials for instance, are all over the place.

All materials from all plugins need to come set to  "actual" RWS by default.  They can be set to tile initially, but if set to RWS they need to be the right size on a properly scaled model. Having "actual" RWS scale as part of the metadata for the material, would save a lot of time when it comes to archviz.  Indicators as to the actual size (the "actual" RWS), along with the current digital RWS, should always be present so as to avoid the guessing game that currently comes with scaling materials. There should be a button that says, set to actual RWS.

1 b)

There needs to be RWS indicators in the UV editor.  I should also be able to reset my material to actual RWS instantly

 2)

Material previews should be part of the metadata.  All material managers should instantly load the given preview image that is embedded with the material, no matter where this material is coming from.

3)

Paths break, paths get corrupted, paths are a pain. I should be able to pick and chose different bitmaps on my computer, but once chosen for the material, the management of this bitmap is not something I should worry about. Bitmaps should be embedded within the materials themselves, or material paths should be ironclad, somewhere in the background where they can never be disconnected. It's ridiculous to have to relink bitmaps in 2019.  F&^%$ck paths.

4)

Xform, why the f^%#$ do I still need this modifier in 2019? Do away with legacy scaling and texturing issues. Speaking of which, fix the scaling issues with all the different material plugins and types.

is the xform necessity still a thing now?
