Make the default listing for Ideas "Latest" or "Most Recent" -- not "Hot"

This suggestion is in regard to the Idea Forums themselves, not in regard to any product. But I could not find a meta-forum about forums. Please forward this message to the people who make policy for the Autodesk forums.

When I went to check on an Idea I submitted, I couldn't find my post... the default listing is "Hot Ideas" rather than "Most Recent Ideas". I suggest this be changed.

Users cannot know what posts exist if they are only shown the "Hot" posts by default. Doesn't anyone realize that this system is antidemocratic and goes against the entire concept of voting? Promoting "Hot" posts actively censors all posts that are not considered "Hot". This creates an information deficit, meaning that voters are operating with faulty data.

"Hot" posts should not be the default. "Most Recent" should be the default. Anything else is inherently unfair. Who decides what is "Hot"? Is it purely algorithmic? Who designs the algorithm?

When I go to a forum, I expect that the posts will be listed in reverse chronological order, not in some arbitrary order based on a mysterious algorithm. I do not expect that posts will be hidden from view and require extra digging to exhume.

... although, tone down the rhetoric.  It won't help.

Thank you for the link... I could not find the "Community" section.

My rhetoric may be intense, but that's a measure of my dissatisfaction.
