Loft patch has always been broken

Loft patch has always been broken

When you set the output of a loft to be "patch" the patch will not follow the spline correctly. The bezier handles of the patch will not be correct.

The one on the left is a line lofted along a circle, the outputed patch is not a correct circle.

The one on the right is how it should look

The one on the left (made with the loft tool) does not have its bezier handles conform to the spline.

Right is how it should look

Separate but related issue:

It would also be great is there was a real way to extrude along splines and produce a spline cage, the work arounds do not produce correct results and require you to manually fix every vertex handle

The one on the left is me making an array around a circle and then using the cross section modifier, it does not follow the circle correctly.

The one on the right is something i manually made and how it should look if there was a proper "extrude along spline" tool.

This has been annoying me for so long and 3ds max would be so much more powerful for me is there was a real "extrude along spline" option for splines/patches

I imagine to the code to do this already exists under the hood. When you lathe a spline and set the output to "Patch" it DOES produce a correct result.

And the nurbs tool shave all sorts of extrusions along splines that work properly

If anyone knows a work around/plug-in/script to get splines/patches that correctly contort to a spline i would love to know
