Instance without a dialog

Instance without a dialog

Most of the time we need to instance an object 3, 4, 5 times or more, and Shift+drag and drop its ideal.... Except we get this Dialog asking if we need copy, instance, reference or number of copies. That could be handy sometimes, but other times its just an extra click that could be annoying.

While this can be scriptable, I think multiple people could be interested on a global solution in max, where with  Shift+control+Drag and drop (for example) we get an instance without any dialog, to make our life easier and faster.

I support your idea, but what do you say I modify it a little? For example, you need to create an instance\copy\reference, as usual you clamp the shift and drag the object to the desired location, then release the left mouse button thereby confirming the location of the object, then the mouse wheel up\down to specify the number of copies - Ctrl+mouse wheel up\down - two - fold increase in the number of copies, Shift+mouse wheel up\down - ten - fold increase in the number of copies, Ctrl+mouse tweak - switching mode instance\copy\reference, Shift+mouse tweak - switching mode 1-copies are created as before linearly, 2 - copies are created between the first and second object, Alt+mouse tweak - switching the mode of placing objects - linear, radial, arcuate. All statistics should be displayed on the top, in the center of the viewport. After all these operations, you will need to click the left mouse button again to finish working on the copies.
