Export using lowercase file extensions by default

The problem:

3ds max 2016 only offers to export files using uppercase extensions.

Lowercase extensions are not offered inside the Export dialogue and either a custom script or manual extension changes are needed.

Example: .FBX instead of .fbx.

Furthermore:

In other Autodesk products, like Maya or Motionbuilder, the extensions are added "correctly" in lowercase.
When importing "somefile.fbx" info 3ds max and re-exporting, it becomes "somefile.FBX". This confuses the version control system (Perforce) at work. It's case sensitive and a case change of the extension or elsewhere in the filename results in a new file instead of an overwrite.

As you see in the screenshot, everything is exported using uppercase file extensions by default.

Please add a feature to modify that behaviour, so that it's possible to choose whether to export using uppercase or lowercase file extensions by default.

Somewhere inside the 3ds max Settings (Customize -> Preferences -> Files -> File Handling) would be great, so it can be set once and for all.

It would be amazing if this feature could be added retroactive into 3ds max 2016 and of course into all the recent releases.

Suggestions and hints are always welcome, thanks.
