I know we've been ranting about the cut tool for forever, so maybe breaking it down into some smaller requests would help. The inability to cut across elements is one of the biggest things for me. See Blender's knife tool for reference.
@Swordslayer Thanks, good point about quick slice and that would work well for my simple image example, but it's kinda unwieldy to have to select and deselect faces all the time. Also to have to keep making new cuts and make face sections, vs just continuing to click to make curved/odd shaped cuts.
