Autoselect multiple hierarchies with ctrl

Doubleclick a model in 3ds max to select the entire linked hierarchy is very useful. But it has always bugged me that you can you cannot select more than one at a time. If you select one hierarchy, hold ctrl and double click a second model it should select the entire hierarchy for that one as well.

There is a Select Children shortcut to help you select multiple hierarchies (I think the default hotkey is SHIFT+PgDown). Just select the top object holding CTRL and when you have them all selected just run the shortcut.

Although I agree it might be useful to still be able to select hierarchies the way you describe the selection method I described might help you save some time.

thank you @dswahn - that helps a lot! - I had forgot about that shortcut.
But yeah, since you can doubleclick one hierarchy I think it makes sense to do it multiple times. So it would be a great addition. ( I hope Autodesk put it on their to-do list 🙂 )
