It's great that the old Boolean tools finally got updated with double precision and a great visual display. However, it desperately needs an instance option like Proboolean has. Similarly, Proboolean could really benefit from the new visual ghosted operand display that regular Boolean now has. I realise that Proboolean is an Npower plugin that was added but, this is an example of the poor implementation of tools that Max suffers from.
Why not just rewrite/combine Boolean/Proboolean/Procutter into one brand new, finished, and polished set of tools?
