Right now there is a serverside glitch at the licensing server (I think) that is preventing me from using 3ds Max 2017 altogether.
quote: Some customers may experience delays managing users, assigning software permissions, or downloading software in Autodesk Account. We apologize for the inconvenience while we work to resolve this issue.
When I launch all I get is a:
Contact your administrator to request permission to use this product.
I tried the sollution on this page, I am a single user so admin myself:

But to no avail.
It would be a good idea I think to let users have a grace period on licence checks.
So that an active validated license fails to check it doesn't stop working right at the moment something is up. This gives the techs time to solve the issue but allows users to continue working. Right now I've not been able to use 3ds Max over the last few hours, my workday is nearly over and I haven't been able to access a product I pay good money for.
Other firms using these sort of license checks usually give you days, weeks even, to sort an issue out before it stops working no matter what the issue is. Take Adobe CC, I had a bank related issue (not my fault) and my subsription wasn't automatically renewed. I simply got a countdown timer for 30 days to give me a chance to fix it. And that was from Adobe's viewpoint 'my' fault and I still got a month.
