I'd like a checkbox on opening a file to be able to ignore/disable xrefs before theyre loaded.
I did try using skipXrefs as per the 2023.1 update notes below when loading via maxscript but I could not re-enable or update the xrefs once the scene was loaded.
From 2023.1 update notes:
Added a new flag to LoadMaxSceneFiles "skipXRefs: " When set to true all xRefs will skip their initial load. You can load them by selected the reference and updating it MAXX-67693
