3dsmax Marketing should show other stuff than architectural

Following the 3dsmax social media on twitter and facebook. 9 posts out of 10 are architectural.
3dsmax is used in awesome animations in commercials, movies, idents, motion graphics and whatnot.

You can check the "stack" open facebook group, for example. Only 3dsmax related kickass stuff.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/stackthis/?fref=ts

Can we PLEASE stop the marketing team to try to spoon feed us with "3dsmax is for architecture"?
Maybe if we show what it can REALLY do, then the developers could have more resources to fix and implement the tools we need (pflow anyone)?

This is bS from Autodesk. 3ds Max is one of the most capable and all around 3D software. What's the problem advertising it for all market it's used? Specially Games, Commercials?

Come on Autodesk. Get your stuff together.

Funny, Max is the Jack of all Trades and should be sold as such. As someone whoe does everything but archviz find the whole archviz angle a bit chastising. Archviz is fine and all but it certainly isn't the end-all-be-all of max... or maybe it is.

I don't think there is an intentional bias towards "3DSMAX is ONLY for architecture".

It's much easier to get permission to use architectural content than it is for game or other content.  IP rights in many industries are aggressively protected (e..g LucasArts has gone after giants such as Motorola and Google for the simple use of the word "Droid").  It's not like personal projects where you can do a quick rip of whatever you feel like.  If the IP holder doesn't give explicit permission then Autodesk cannot use it for their own advertising or samples.

This is the official maya twitter account:
https://twitter.com/AdskMaya

First link: rigging; second: creature; third: vfx on star wars; fifth: games; 6,7,8: parallels; 9: UV; 10: motion graphics/rigid body with mash.
I don't think that a link to a public vimeo video on the official twitter and fb 3dsmax accounts needs permission... am I wrong?

lol "intentional bias" :-) Really? You think that? We have been complaining about this for years.

Nothing has changed. There is almost no games-related content at 3ds Max Facebook page, "visualization" posts everywhere.
