Dear manager of Autodesk Company

My brother (Hossein) and I (Zahra) are architects, using software programs of your company - such as 3D max- to develop and design various projects of ours. As a long-term user of 3D-max, we have certain suggestions which can of use if they are aimed at being amended in the new version of the program.

  1. When one wants to insert an object from an external 3D-MAX file, they are to use Merge button through the import Menu. However it would be much more convenient if we could preview each object when we selected them, or at least see a thumbnail of the object in the same Merge window so as to be more accurate and faster in case of multiple objects. suggestion 1suggestion 1

  1. The option of Merging for Objects which are under a group should be available, like what was mentioned in (1). In other words, selecting the desired Group in the Merge window, one needs to see the grouped objects as open groups listed hierarchical, and after clicking on each subobject, a preview or thumbnail is shown in the Merge menu before the final confirmation so as to have a more convenient and faster selection procedure. suggestion 2suggestion 2

We really hope these suggestion are taken into consideration since they can simply make your valuable work even more convenient for its users.

Bests,

Zahra and Hossein Minooee

I think the thumbnail one might require a thumbnail to be saved of every object in the scene which wouldnt really be efficient as the thumbnail for the max file is just a bitmap saved within the max file I believe. Not an actual live preview.
