XRef's dropping out when rendering frames on Servers

This is a new issue for me with 2016. Half my frames render with all the Xref's and the other half consistantly renders with some Xref's off. My colleages have had the same issues on different projects.

I think it has to do with Match layers by Name and Parent in the Xref dialog box when checked on by default.

My layering is normal so this should not turn off layers. It appears to affect the whole Xref not one layer.

As soon as I turn it off that setting. My frames render normally.

Hello,

This behavior has been noted as a defect by our developers and has been logged, although I don't know when a fix might be forthcoming.

However, we do have a workaround, which is explained at this Autodesk Knowledgebase link.

I hope this information helps. If you have any further questions, please let me know.

Best regards,

Just in case others have this issue and cannot use this workaround to merge all xref's into a scene.

You can turn off the feature "Match layers by Name and Parent" in the Xref dialog box and this will solve the problem.
