Why there is no 3DS MAX DESIGN 2017 ?

Hello all All along 3DS Max was having 2 versions - The "MAX" and the "DESIGN" versions. Why did they drop the "DESIGN" version in their 2017 version - any idea ?

Autodesk 3ds Max and Autodesk 3ds Max Design are being combined into a single product, 3ds Max 2016. With this change, 3ds Max 2016 will inherit the design tools that were previously available only in 3ds Max Design. This move allows Autodesk to introduce services into a single software ecosystem in the future, tailoring those services for specific 3ds Max user needs across a wide number of industries.

I think this decision was a totally wonderful, possibly genius idea! Just one of many good decisions that went into 3DS MAX 2017 - Thank you Autodesk!

BTW. When ADSK announced the 3ds Max 2009 & 3ds Max Design 2009 split, I predicted the Design flavor would last no more than 6 releases… See, I wasn’t that far off.
