Ok.

I will not be very long, but let me say something, what is this mess ? In last August i was working  with MAX 2014, here in the house we update to MAX 2017 thinking it would be a very big  upgrade and performant with our new computers...

But in 3 months :

Oct 07 2016
3ds Max 2017 Service Pack 3
Jul 25 2016
3ds Max 2017 Service Pack 2
Jun 06 2016
3ds Max 2017 Service Pack 1

In last November update 1...

and in December Security Fix 1.0 & 1.1 ...

Ok guys... Be serious.

In 5 months more than 6 UPDATES, it mean that you are working on those problems.

Could you please fix the main importants problems before integrate new sources of bugs, crashes and instability.

Every day i report a bug, a crash.

Does it mean that MAX 2017 is more stable on Windows 10 than Windows 7 64 bits SP1 ?

I can't answer that question directly, but I can share my experience. 2017 is certainly very stable on Windows 10 for me. I'm pretty sure that if my CER reports were tallied up, the frequency goes down each year. I'm just guessing, but I'd assume I submitted three times as many CERs for 2014 than I have for 2017 in the same period of time of use. But you'd need to get @Alfred.DeFlaminis or @Kelly_Michels to give actual aggregate numbers across Max users for a useful answer. I have no Max-related issues that I can pin on using Windows 10 right now.

Hello @Anonymous,

I don't fully understand your last question about stability on W10 vs. Win7.  Can you please clarify that for me?  I've done a search on your email address in the CER reports and I can't find any entries.  When you submit, please put your email address and that makes it possible for me to see your crash log specifically so I can help diagnose your crashing issues.  (Report number also works.)

Also what I can do is create a private folder for you and if you upload a file there I can attach the info to any bug reports which can help with diagnosing the problem.  I am happy to do this.  Is there a specific issue you are experiencing?   Lastly, could you please let me know the issue that you consider important to you so I can mark it in my notes?  Thank you very much!

Hello @Anonymous,

I do see one or two crashes in here related to known Max bugs, a few from MassFX, but the majority are Vray/renderer crashes.  Are you using the nightlies or something?  If not, I wonder if that's an option for you.  If so, it seems to be related to some of the problems.  Which SP are you on currently?

I see a couple crashes here which have only you as the reporter.  I think you may have stability issues related to plugin conflicts.  Which plugins do you use?  Do you use Berconmaps for 2017?  Thank you for the information.
