Viewport Stuttering and Selection lag in 2020 and 2022

When using high refresh rate mouse viewport lags, this been a problem since 2019 very annoying to model in laggy environment please add support for high report rate mouse. The stuttering seems to be happening when using selection tool, it works fine when you have something selected with move tool example:
1. Selection tool (Lag)
2. Move tool with selected object (No Lag)
3. Selection tool with selected object (Lag)

Selecting multiple objects lag can be fixed buy disabling virtual cores on AMD cpu but that hits rendering performance drastically, in some of my tests up to 2 times slower rendering.  This is not worth trade off for smoother viewport selection this happens on DX11, 9 and openGL.

PC specs:
CPU: R7 1800x
GPU: GTX 1080TI
Mouse: G703 running at 1000 report rate

OS: Windows 10 64bit build: 19042.906

Max version: 2020 and 2022

I am having the same issues. Its dirving me mad.  So stuttery selecting, polymoddleing even the interface seems to always think for a second or two before displaying the tools.  I moved from max 2018 on an old i7 1080 to max 2022 on the latest 32 core AMD with an Quadro A5000.   My old machine is smoother  ;(  is there updates or fixes for this ?

I am also having the same issue with viewport performance. I was on an old system Windows 8.1, Intel, Nvidia 1050ti with 3dsmax 2018 and that run smooth as butter. Moved to a new system Windows 10, AMD 3970x, RTX 3070ti with 3dsMax 2022 and there's nothing but lag, stuttering in the viewport, lag to open the material editor, lag to open modifier list. it's quite frustrating. Small tasks that should instantaneous are laggy.

Windows 10, Max 2021 here with the same issues but it's not just 3dsmax where I have the problem, this post here by Spacefrog has a potential solution but it's temporary.

Best Regards,

Had the same problem, after a week of suffering the stuttering viewport I just refunded.

which is pity because I was liked using it , apart from the lack of multi threading in the viewport

Maya is the from my reading no multi threading in the viewport

Hi everyone, based on release notes for 2022.3 this was fixed. I tested it and its a lot better but this issue is still there just less noticeable.

If I had anything actually selected in the outliner an tried to move in the viewport the lag was even worse

I am additionally having the identical difficulty with viewport performance. I become on an vintage machine Windows 8.1, Intel, Nvidia 1050ti with 3dsmax 2018 and that run easy as butter. So stutter selecting, poly moddleing even the interface appears to continually assume for a 2d or earlier than showing the tools. I moved from max 2018 on an vintage i7 1080 to max 2022 at the modern-day 32 middle AMD with an Quadro A5000.
