vert selection issues

not sure if this is a bug but for some reason I cant select verts.

vert 1 screen capture shows how they cant be selected.

vert 2 screen capture is a new scene with the geometry copied into it.

I edited my verts then I went back into the other scene, deleted the part and went to paste the revised one back in, it ask me to convert scene so i did and max crashed on me.

Not sure why i needed to convert scene when I was made in 2018 to begin with.

Have you tried unhide all inside the "Edit Geometry"?

Maybe you clicked hide selected by accident?

I've experienced such errors before too, and yes merging them into a new scene seems to rid of the issue. But not sure why this happens though. It's not due to objects being hidden within the edit geometry level that the previous member is referring to as in such cases, you wouldn't be able to see the verts to start with although you can try it.
