Hi everyone,
I just finished a rig in 3ds max 2016 using lots of helpers.
There was a time when I didn't want to see some of those points - so I hid them.
And now I'm unable to unhide them. Helpers generally are visible and the layer containing these special helpers is visible, too (see attached image).
The helpers are still visible in Layer Explorer and Scene Explorer. I tried using all 'unhide all' commands and all visiblity icons in any tree view I know of.
Nothimg. I even tried maxScript xD
Meanwhile I switched to 3ds Max 2017, but the problem remains.
Any ideas?
Regards!

Since you mention you tried maxscript - did you try unhide helpers? If the layer they're in is visible, that should do the trick.
Hello @christian.goebeler and welcome to the community,
I'd like to help with this issue. Is it possible the entire helper category is hidden as shown in the image below? The Helpers category should be unchecked.

Thank you!
As I mentioned I assured multiple times that this checkbox was not checked. Meanwhile I solved my problem.
Somehow - don't know how, don't know when - the points got selected in the list lower on that tab. That's why dummies where still visible, points not.
Thank you all for taking the time 🙂
Regards!
