UI problem with snaps icons

In 3ds Max 2024, after selecting the max.vray, DefaultUI option from the Custom Default Switcher, I activated the Snaps toolbar, but some icons are disabled and appear gray. How can I solve this problem?

This seems to be an age old problem, see post from 2012:

Seems a way to resolve it might be to type "updateVRayMenus()" into the Maxscript listener, or following through other suggestions listed in that thread.

Unfortunately, none of the solutions work. Perhaps with future updates of 3ds Max and V-Ray, it will be resolved.
