Troublesome movement limitations

Hello Everyone,

We're facing some troublesome movement limitations on large distances. We're modeling cities and the current city block is located on about x:9000 and 7:400000 generic units, the problem is that the values at these distances can not be accurate anymore which causes a lot of error in the buildings and stress in our artists. This image shows the detail problems we get:

Is there anything I can do to surpass this problem? Are the 3ds max movements in 32bit or 64bit? If it is 32bit, changing to 64bit could extend or detail limits by more than a tenfold(as far as I know).

Kind regards,

Cambesa

This may not be a good solution for you but you could change your scale to mm instead of feet or whatever you are using. That will make the distances 100s of times less. Max does not do well when things get really far from the origin.
