Skin Modifier Problem

Hello,

I've got a problem with a skin modifier. I'm trying to rig a hand and when i'm adding bones to skin modifier weights are only 0 or 1. What can I do to to fix this issue ?

Hi erwinsokol,

 

this is usually due to vertices being set to Rigid.

If that is the case, it may be set for All or for the Selected vertices.

 

The All Rigid option is in : Advanced Parameters > [ ] Rigid Vertices (All)

 

The per (selected) vertices is in :  Parameters > Weight Properties > [ ] Rigid

The problem was in Voxel Solver Falloff, i changed falloff from 0,2 to 0,002 and everything works fine 🙂

I did not mention that as usually this value of 0.2 is good.

Yes, but my scene is scale shifted, so that could cause the problem

Yes, you are right, the scale shift if most likely the reason!

That value serves that purpose! 🙂
