Hi,
I'm trying to setup a scene and match the perspective to a 2D image.
I've dropped an image into my physical camera viewports background and set the aspect ratio to match, I've also matched the focal length and sensor size to that of the original used.
If I measure the width of the street using the measure tool whilst looking through the camera, it says it's about 850cm which I guess is about right. The problem is when I drop geometry into the scene it all appears to be huge. For example this box is about the size of a standard car (450cmx180cmx165cm LxWxH).
Something seems off, if I measure the width it says it's 180cm, which is correct, but if I measure the height it says it's 800cm.
I'm probably doing something stupid but I would really appreciate it if someone could explain what's happening here. I just want to be able to drop a car into the scene at real world scale.
Thanks
How high is your camera? It may just need to be raised up to the same height about the ground that the camera was that took the photo.

Judging by the fact that the extension of the edges of the box intersect at the horizon I would say that the elevation of the camera is pretty good. Try moving the camera forward or back to adjust the scale.
