Render Setup Window Missing

Hi, hopefully someone can help me. I'm working with Autodesk 3ds Max 2009.

I have obviously done something and the Render Setup Window has disapeared and I can’t get it back.
Although i can press the buttom (tea cup) and it shows "active", the window does not appear anywhere near, what leads me to believe i've managed to “float” it and drag it offscreen.

Does anyone have any clue as to where it may be hiding or how I can get it back?

Many thanks in advance.

If it has gone off the screen, you can change it in the 3dsmax.ini file.
Find it here:-
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\3dsmax\2009 - XXbit\enu

I had the same problem with the material editor and in case anybody else does, the path in vista is: Username ► AppData* ► Local ► Autodesk ► 3dsMax ► YEAR - ??bit ► enu ► 3dsmax.ini

*folder is hidden, you will need to go to control panel and change the settings before you can get to the file.

A quicker way (usually) is this...with render setup window active (eg unpress and then repress the button):
- press Alt + Spacebar
- press M
- use arrow keys to move the dialog into view

I did like this:

1. click the "render configuration" pod icon

2. Alt + space and I see the bar only with tree options: restore, move and close

3. After clicking the restore - small bar disappeared

Using 2016, just went to the address showned up here and removed the "ini" file.

When reopened and click Render setup incon, it had appeared.

New "ini" file has also been created

Ticket solved for me.

Thanks a lot @Anonymous and everyone

New "ini" file has also been created in place.
