How do I restore a max file from Backburner 2015.0.1?
I did this years ago using the *.maz file.
I worked all morning, saved my files, then figured out I messed up. I need to go back to where I was when I started. Thought I'd restore from Autobackup, but all the files contain the new information. I rendered the animation two days ago and the jobs are still in the backburner que monitor. The files exist "somewhere".
I can't find any *.maz files on my hard drives.
I can't even find the network rendering folder for backburner even though "show hidden files and folders" is selected.

Depending on how you have your Backburner set up to run, the location of the files can vary and doing a simple search may not show them. In our case, we have BB Manager running on a server as a service using no login, just as the local account. This means the Backburner files are located in the following location:
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\backburner
And don't try looking for a .MAZ file. You'll be looking for three files with the job name and the extensions .MAX, .ZIP and .XML. You'' really only need the MAX file.

In my case - running all backburner parts as local application with Win7 - all relevant stuff can be found under
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\backburner\Jobs
You may need to switch hidden files to be visible in your explorer options.
In there, you'll find subdirs named "xxxxxxxx JOBNAME" containing a ZIP archive mirroring you project drives, dirs and files.
Your MAX file usually should be on your C: drive in your TEMP directory.
Found three files *.tsk, *.xml and *.zip in the C:\Users\username\Appdata\Local\backburner\Jobs\JOBNAME directory.
Used WinZip to extract the file and the Max file worked fine!
Probably a setting somewhere, but NOTHING in the C:\TEMP directory
Thanks for the help guys.
