Realism Settings

Hi,

I'm using vray next. I'm having problems with realism when I get a rendering. I added images. What do you think the problem might be?

I'm no expert by any means and I don't use Vray however it looks to me that there is a lack of secular, reflection, and texture (bump) and uv maps. The pool table needs uvw mapping bad. both the wood grain and the cloth.

The wood grain needs to run the lengths not the widths

Hope this helps

i would becareful of the copyrighted material unless this is for your own private use and your not willing to post it online, or sell it because that could cause you a lot of trouble

I have to share to improve myself, so no problem if it is stolen.

watch when you get hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit from playstation and other companies. if you don't have written permission to use it,

Hi @Anonymous

These renders look neat!

I agree with @Anonymous , and would add that the general lighting makes the room seem flat, I would expect there to be some cast shadows in the scene somewhere, and a brighter angled light coming from the window.

While bump maps and specular reflections can add to the realism of a scene, i think they won't "shine" unless your lighting is more dynamic 😄

Here is a video that could potentially help!
