Problem with my Alt+X

Hi guys its the first time im posting in the forum. I have a problem with alt+X see trough, the short cut is not working properly.

Every time I press Atl+X this happen.

 

Look the little line under the menu, each time i press Atl+X its goes on and off?

I have 2016 and I try 2015 and its doing the same thing, I can't use the see through...

Select the object in a shaded mode and alt-x should work. It will only work while objects are selected.

I think it's Windows 10 that does not allow me to do ALT + X because i changed the short cut and its work?

I think all 'ALT' keyboard short cuts are not customisable (for some reason).

'Xray mode' has a number of different descriptions 'See-through Display', 'Invisible Mode' and 'XRay Mode'. None of these are in the kerboard list in the Customise User Interface, but maybe it's listed as something more obscure ... ?

Max has a very, very undefined function description list (see the user interface customise menu for evidence of this - does anyone care to find out what the majority of functions in max are listed as?). I raised it as a bug a couple of years ago, but it's not Max dev's highest priority something something.
