I am working on a project were I like to place transparent images behind each other to achieve a parallax look. I need to use the Arnold render because the final render output needs to be VR stereoscopic. I have been building a setup containing of multiple planes behind each other with an texture on each one. I use the Arnold surface texture, an unmatted RGB image and a seperate alpha image. Both in jpeg format. I cant figure out the best way to texture the planes. The alpha does not work correctly. Also the render time will increase. Maybe someone knows a way to create a parallax animation in 3d max using the Arnold render without the long render times?
