Working on an fbx file created converting an dwg file, returning 41.000 different components.
Loading and even closing it need ages, with 3ds Max 2020 remaining "Not responding" for 1h to just close the project even without saving any changes, and needing another 1h for opening it again.
There is heavy HDD activity for opening it, but both closing and opening there is more than half an hour waiting with CPU at 10%, RAM half filled, GPU doing nothing, HDD and SSD doing nothing at all.
My system specs are: Ryzen 5 2600X, 32GB RAM, AMD HD7950Boost GPU1 (normally used, latest drivers), Nvidia GTX1070 GPU2 (primary used for compute with other programs, but something also for 3D working), SSD for OS and 3dsmax, HDD for data.
Wondering if there is anything I can do to check what is slowing down all.
