Opacity maps does NOT show when converting to Stl

Hello,
I have a problem: i used opacity maps in my 3ds max project file instead of modeling the shapes. and now i need to 3d print the model and the opacity map is not visible in the converted stl model. what should i do? please help me!

hi, I think the stl format does not support maps but just geometry

I don't think any format will support 3D print of opacity maps. You'll have to model it.

If you used opacity maps to give the appearance of holes try using Boolean substract to create real holes.
