objects imported form blender are transperant

As seen in teh photo below all the objects of a scene exported form Blender (in .fbx format) are showing up in 3dsMax as transparent.
Could this may have something to do with the fact that there LOD (Level of Detail)?
I tried exporting the Blender scene as .obj file instead but the scene gets completely destroyed when importing to 3dsMax (the exported obj file form Blender is actually ok as it looks fine when previewed in Noesis)
