not able to render: Volume Fog using Atmospheric Apparatus Object

i am rendering through ActiveShade with perspective or camera (either), but the fog will not show up. The density of the fog is fine (in the Parameters).

Is anyone else having the same issue?

i'm just using Arnold. i don't have Vray or Corona.
