Hi,

I am a beginner to 3DS MAX. Need help with interfce. I am using Autodesk 3DS Max 2019.

I was just exploring the interface. Due to my curiosity I started the civil view. Which become the defaut view for 3ds max whenever I start it. How to go back to default view.1.JPG2.JPG

What exactly do you mean? If you want to move the object press "W"

Alt + W for minimizing and maximizing view.

Hi,

Anytime you want to revert to the default state, in the top right corner where it says

"Workspaces", click the drop down menu and choose "Revert To Default State",

Now for the other issue related to the grayed out coordinates, it's not related to

Changing to Civil View, it comes from the fact that you didn't choose any transformation

Tool (Move, Rotation or Scale). Like what @Anonymous said clicking the "W" will  activate

The Move tool. In addition, clicking "E" will activate the Rotate and "R" for Scale.

I suggest you look at AutoDesk learning channel on Youtube where they have

Excellent playlists for 3DS Max beginners.
