modify panel UI bug: rollouts repeating like crazy

Has anyone seen this?

It happens randomly: when selecting an object with the modify panel active, some parameter rollouts will start repeating, mostly the "Subdivision Surface" "Subdivision Displacement" and "Paint Deformation" rollouts. They stay stuck on the panel even when no object is selected, and everytime the selection changes, a new rollout appears until max eventually crashes. Sometimes the scene become corrupted and don't let you save it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Well maybe resetting the user settings might help:

close max and go to: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\20xx - xxbit

And change the name of ENU folder to something else like ENU.old and restart Max

It only happens sometimes, once in a while, and for no apparent reason. Will try that and wait to see if it happens again. Thanks for your help!

Weird, IIRC this was only present in the very first 2018 release and was immediately fixed in 2018.1

What PU are you on? The current verrsion is 2018.4
